SPM Windpower was founded
in March of 2006 in preparation of upcoming events that was happening in the
United States. I had managed to build my house in 1998 and completed it in 2001
on a 20 acre farm located in hope Township just South West of Hastings, Michigan.
During this time the price of oil and other fossil fuels where constantly on the
rise; as a result we looked at alternative power source, for example, solar,
wind, geothermal to reduce energy costs. During this time our president has
repeatedly stated that we need to stop relying on other world counties fuel
resources. SPM Wind Power LLC, began working with our community to educate
and demonstrate new ways on how small wind turbine and other alternative
resources can benefit our community. We currently are harvesting four renewable resources of power at our facility, geothermal heat pump,solar, wind and LED lights. These resources have reduced our energy costs at our home and office. The state of
Michigan is rated 14 in the nation asa wind turbine generating
resource.SPM Wind Power LLC plans to be a catalyst for sustainable
economic growth and environmental stewardship, and energy security. Using
renewable energy resources that we currently have in are back yard. This
allows Michigan to be much less dependent on fossil fuels. Michigan in-ports more
that 65% all of it Energy, primarily coal for our coal power generating power
plants. Every kilowatt of electricity generated by renewable energy is a kilowatt
that does not need to be imported from other states and other
countries. SPM Windpower LLC became dealers with three long-standing
U.S.companies that manufacture small wind turbines, Southwest Windpower
, Aerosta and Polaris America. These companies create jobs in the United States which is
very much dependent on homeowners and small businesses which are very much focus on
the economies developments. Renewable energy such as wind and
solar can reduce are cost of imported oil and help reduce State taxes by
installing wind or solar at their home or place of business in Michigan.
